About
TSN5 history, coverage, features
TSN5 is a regional sports feed in Canada owned and operated by The Sports Network, commonly known as TSN. It was launched in August 2014, alongside its sister regional feeds (TSN1, TSN3, and TSN4), to broadcast major sporting events and programming nationwide while also offering region-specific content in eastern Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada. The region-specific programming on TSN5 has included broadcasts of NHL games featuring the Ottawa Senators, although this is subject to change due to the constantly evolving landscape of broadcast rights agreements. Furthermore, region-specific content on TSN5 may be blacked out outside of its targeted market. Major sporting events that TSN has the rights to are typically simulcast across TSN5 and the network’s other regional feeds.
Upon its launch, TSN5 was made available through several major Canadian TV providers, including Rogers, Shaw, Bell, and Telus. In September 2024, TSN was also added to the streaming service Amazon Prime Video. Viewers can stream TSN5 and TSN’s other regional feeds via its app and official website.
