Football fans in Norway can watch Eliteserien, the top-flight Norwegian league, on TV 2 for the 2029-2034 TV cycle. This is thanks to a major rights extension struck in late April 2026, covering not only Eliteserien but also Toppserien, the Norwegian women’s national team, and select Norwegian First Division matches.

This deal was finalized and announced in April 2026 as part of a major rights agreement covering Toppserien and Eliteserien, the Norwegian women’s national team, and select Norwegian First Division matches. To watch TV 2’s live Toppserien coverage, fans in Norway must subscribe to a TV provider that carries or distributes its linear channels. While this is subject to change, this has historically included major providers such as Allente, Altibox, RiksTV, Strim, Telenor, and Telia.
Additionally, viewers can subscribe to the TV 2 Play streaming service to stream its Toppserien coverage. TV 2 Play offers different subscription tiers, with and without ads, for varying viewing experiences. Once subscribed, Norwegians can stream live Toppserien games on the TV 2 Play app via several internet-connected devices. This includes smart TVs, Apple TV, Android TV, iPhone and iPad, Android smartphones and tablets, and more. The TV 2 Play app also supports Chromecast.
Viewers who do not wish to download the TV 2 Play app can stream the competition via the streaming service’s official website. It should be noted that TV 2 Play is pre-installed on TV boxes from partnered TV providers such as Allente, Altibox, RiksTV, Strim, Telenor, and Telia.
