Each team plays six matches – three at home and three away. The top eight teams after six rounds advance directly to the Round of 16.
Teams finishing 9th through 24th play a playoff round for the eight remaining spots in the Conference League. Teams finishing 25th through 32nd are eliminated. Teams from the same nation cannot be drawn against each other until the knockout stage in the spring.
