How to watch La Liga in Argentina

Latin American sports subscription television network DSports has extended its La Liga broadcast rights in Spanish-speaking South America through a six-year agreement spanning the 2026-2032 television cycle.

Thanks to this extension, football fans in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela can watch or stream select La Liga games on DSports from the 2026-27 season through to the 2031-32 campaign.

DSports’ La Liga coverage features the biggest teams in Spain, including Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Atlético Madrid, as well as the most anticipated matches such as the Madrid Derby and El Clásico. However, one El Clásico match per season is exclusively broadcast by ESPN, the league’s other broadcaster. Additionally, DSports’ La Liga coverage is unavailable in Brazil, one of South America’s largest markets.

While DSports may be available via third-party TV providers, availability is subject to change, thus rendering the best way to watch live La Liga games on linear TV or streaming by subscribing directly to DIRECTV's satellite television service. Furthermore, South American viewers can stream live La Liga games on DSports via the DGO app or website. It is worth noting that while DSports is a pay-TV network, DIRECTV subscribers receive access to DGO at no additional cost.

The DGO app is available for download on the Play Store, App Store, or other app stores on smartphones, smart TVs, and other internet-connected devices. This includes Apple TV, Android TV, Roku, and Fire TV, as well as smart TVs from Samsung and LG, among others.

As a result, football fans in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela can watch 190 La Liga games live exclusively on ESPN’s linear networks or stream the Spanish Primera Division live on Disney+ Premium throughout the 2026-27 to 2031-32 seasons.

Not only does ESPN and its streaming service Disney+ broadcast half of all the games played during the duration of this rights agreement, but they also feature one game (home or away) from each major La Liga rivalry, including the iconic El Clásico—the legendary match-up between Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona, often home to many of the biggest South American players.

As one of the region’s major sports broadcasting networks, ESPN has historically maintained availability across major third-party cable, satellite, and streaming television providers in South America, including DIRECTV, Tigo, Movistar, Claro, and more.

However, availability on these TV providers is subject to change and typically requires a subscription. Additionally, viewers may need to purchase an extra add-on for ESPN access. An alternative option for La Liga fans in South America is to stream live Spanish Primera Division games, including El Clásico, on the Disney+ app with the Disney+ Premium plan. Once subscribed, viewers can also watch the league on the streaming service’s official website.

Disney+ is accessible on multiple platforms via the Disney+ app, including smartphones and smart TVs. The application is compatible with Android and Windows devices, as well as iPhones, iPads, and Amazon Fire Tablets.

The Disney+ app also works on various TV devices, including Amazon Fire, Apple, Android, Hisense, LG, and Samsung TVs, as well as PlayStation and Xbox consoles. DAZN operates the official LaLiga Channel worldwide through a two-season partnership covering 2025-26 and 2026-27. The channel is free to access globally and is available only on the DAZN platform.

Programming includes matchday highlights of every game, LaLiga-produced content, and additional non-live formats. The service is positioned alongside DAZN's existing football properties, which feature UEFA competitions, FIFA+ programming, Serie A, Bundesliga, and the J.League.

DAZN already holds live LaLiga rights in Spain and carries coverage in markets such as Portugal, Italy, Germany, Austria, Japan, and Belgium. The LaLiga Channel adds a global highlights package to those existing agreements.
