Pak choy growing....

It's really good experience to try to grow new type of vegetables. This time I have tried the normal type and white stem Pak choy variety.

Cooking Angle Loofah!

Angle loofah or petola in Malay is sweet vegetable. It taste so good by itself.

I just saute the angle loofah with garlic and ginger. I add a tomato too for a change! Some will add dry prawns too. They taste so yummy!

Tomatoes

It's time for planting tomatoes again in my garden! The seedling have "suffered" enough....... I used the word "suffered" because I never really care for the seedlings! I only water them. Finally I transplated them to the ground. I had total 5 plants but 1 end up wilting. They look thin and long. May be deprived from Sun. Now They are in the vegetable bed with direct sunlight and I have put in some fertilizer! Hope they grow well!

Harvest for the week!

I manage to harvest big bowl of roselle and 2 angle loofah. I have more roselle to be harvested. I might do the juices again  today. The juice I did on Monday has only half a bottle left! That's the demand for roselle in my house! ;)

GBBD - JUNE 2012

I almost forgot that it's been a week that I never do any posting! I even forgot to upload Kangkung photos too! Sorry for that !

It's been a very busy week for me at work. Plants are not so well in the garden now. Nevertheless I have few flowers for GBBD for the month of June!

Kangkung vegetables

Kangkung which is known as water spinach, grows well in tropics. I like to saute them with garlic and ginger.

Grasshopper love them too! Look at the leaves. All have traces of "grasshopper visit". I think they find Kangkung crunchy and delicious compare to Pak Choy. No wonder they left my Pak choy bed..... ;)

Pak Choy have become a good meal for the grasshopper. Look at the leaves! Most of them have been eaten up....

I just wonder why only one have been feasted by them. The another 2 growing little vegetables have not been touch...... Is grasshopper being considerate to me? or they want to wait until it grow a bit????

little Pak Choy

I have transplanted most of the Pak Choy seedling to the bed. They look so fragile. Hope the heavy rain doesn't wash them away ;)
