GBBD June 2014

It's getting hot again here. I haven't seen the rain for the past 3 weeks.... or may be a bit more........
The flowering plants are surviving with watering done manually every evening. I hope the rain will pour down soon!

Plumeria is enjoying the hot blazing sun! It's sending out a a lot of blooms now!

The red Plumeria have started flowering too!

.
I'm not sure the name of this flowering plant but it's the favourite plant for the big green caterpillars! The leaves must be very tasty!

Hibiscus are warm weather champions! Something has/ have bitten and eat the flower. Nevertheless they still look very beautiful!

Adenium have started to show off the flower too!

I must admit that i posted the curry leaves post too fast that I forgot to click ok tab after download the photos...

Anyway my garden is infested by many of this caterpillars. But they disappear very quickly. I'm not sure if all of them changed to become butterflies or the birds had a feast on them!

This orange caterpillar is really new to me. I never seen them before.

Curry leaves

The curry leave plants are always infested by some type of caterpillars. I use to chop the whole tree down to dispose the pest. The young shots appears after a while.

I always use them in my curries. They smell good once it's dropped in hot oil!

It's believed to have property to boost memory power. This is what I really need now!

Lemongrass

I did some weeding in the garden last week. All the weeds are left to dry and add to the vegetable bed. Lemongrass had a good share of mulch too!

The one planted outside the gate along the road. It's quiet sturdy actually. Just don't leave it wet feet.

kangkung - an update

Kangkung growing well under wet and warm weather! As usual grasshoppers are having a feast on the leaves.

As far as they let me harvest some, I'm ok with them.
