The colourful folliage

Very often the foliage plants are ignored as many look for blooming plants!

However some foliage plants are really colourful and beautiful too. Dracaena is one of those which have beautiful foliage. The leaves are striking in green and red.

Croton in striking red , yellow and green!

Spider plants are beautiful too in green and white! At the moment I have many sucker plants. All are welcome in the garden. They add colour to the garden!

Some of foliage plants can be used to filter the air too.

what kind of beautiful foliage you have planted in your garden?

Visitor in my garden

Finally I manage to snap a photo of butterfly in my garden. I use to see many of them in the garden. Especially at the Hibiscus patch. However I don't have luck capturing them from good angle! This must be my best shoot!

This type of birds are frequent visitor to my garden!

They too love the Hibiscus! I think Hibiscus nectar must have very special sweet taste that the birds and butterflies loves!

Little bird doing some kind of acrobatic movement to get the nectar from Hibiscus flower! It must be so thirsty due to warm weather that it doesn't mind of drinking up side down!! ;)

I believe these creatures are pest. The are many at my indian broad beans patch. Anyone know about them? I think I need to take some action before they do further damage!

Who is visiting your garden today?

Someone must have been munching my hibiscus flowers. Do they have sweet taste? I wonder.......

I thought I have lost my Torenia collection. But they have return back from nowhere! At the moment I only have the purple colour! Hope to see them more!

The white flowers are flowering profusely too! Indian use to tie them with a string to make them as garland. This garland look beautiful on the hair!

The guarded community - Sawi

It's not only human stay in guarded community but vegetables does too! At least in my garden some of the vegetables stay in guarded community. However, there is no service charges! Free for growing!

Sawi or Asian Green seedling growing inside perimeters. I need to protect them from pest, so I find this is the best way. So far I haven't seen any culprit crossing over the perimeter!

They taste similar to pak choy buy grow much bigger and taller.
