The jungle of Puck manis!

At first I only had 2 "pucuk manis" plants. I propagate them from branches I bought at the wet market. Every time I harvest the cuttings, I re-plant them again. I was so greedy that I plant every branches. Nothing goes to the compose area and finally now I have a jungle of pucuk manis!

Pucuk manis is known as Sauropus androgynus. Also known as katuk, star gooseberry, or sweet leaf. In Chinese it is called mani cai,in Malay it is called cekur manis, sayur manis, or asin-asin. In Thai it is called pak waan; and in Vietnamese, it is called rau ngót. In Kerala -India it is called Malay Cheera.  And I call it Pucuk manis!

This vegetable is full of Vitamin K, C and protein!

In my garden, I can see them everywhere. They have grow tall and falling down due to heavy rain. I have influence my neighbour to plant them too. Finally I have a lot and with little people to share with!

This plant is very invasive!

Grasshoppers are fighting with me to taste the leaves! At the moment I let them taste since the damage is minimum

Pineapple

Pineapples are easily grown in Malaysia! They are just so sweet and juicy! It's pack full of nutrition too!

Last month I bought 2 small pineapples. They were so sweet that I decided to plant pineapple in my garden! I cut the crown and planted them in the pot. I think may be this pot is not enough for them in future but let me see what I shall do once they have grow larger....May be I will transplant to the ground later....

It take almost 1year plus for the plant to produce fruit. Is it true? It's such a long wait! ;)

Anyone out there have planted pineapple before? May be you can share the experience with me! We can share for everyone to know too! ;)

Is it pegaga?

Finally I manage to upload my photos again without any problem! Phew!!!! Thanks to "Mozilla Firefox" to solve my problem! ;)

I need garden blog friends to identify this plant for me. They grow in mass on my Garden floors! They are very invasive too!  I have google and found the nearest name ......that it's called pennywort but I'm not sure if I'm correct.

Are they same as pegaga? I think Malaysian blogger knows about pegaga very well! Are those edible?

Chilies

I have problem to upload photos with blogger! This is very annoying! Every time I upload the picture goes missing or most of the time the the "upload" button does not appear! sigh.......

Anyway I will try again to upload later in the evening......

This is chili update. Most of my chili padi / small spicy chillies are doing well. I take some for my cooking and some I dry and put in my cabinet and rice container. Amazingly no ants or other sort of insert enter the containers and cabinet! Wow! It's really useful! I just wonder if it will work with the cockroaches...... I still see one or two of them even though I clean up the cabinet frequently...... arrggg...... any tips?

These is young seedling of chillies. This is not chili padi. It's normal long and big chillies. I will transplant them soon to the ground.

What you do with your chillies?

Radish

I have very little experience with white radish. In past I seldom plant them and the roots that I manage to harvest are very small for my family meal! ;)

This new year 2013, I put more attention on root vegetables! For the start I planted radish in deep and big pot. So far the little seedling in 2 pots look good!

The little leaves reminds me of  pak choi! I need to sow some pak choi seeds for my green leaves supply for year 2013!

What kind of plants you would like to put more attention this year?
