Banana flower!

Banana tree have started to colonize in my garden. I have 4 plants in total. 

The mother plant have grown so huge! 

It has produce the first banana flower!

Close up photo of the fruit. If everything goes I will harvest banana in 2 months from my home garden! It's a long wait but it's worth all the care on them!

Free seeds!

Getting free seeds must be a great feelings for gardeners!

Few weeks back Joyce from potted garden sent me an e-mail if I would like to have some seeds! Of course I want!

Last week got the seeds thru Pos Malaysia! That's happy moment right! There were spineless Okra, small bitter gourd and petola seeds!

All these seeds are new to my garden! I shall sow the seeds this weekend! 

I must have forgotten all about the Zig Zag plant! I realize their existence just yesterday evening!

They look so beautiful with their zig zag shape. The leaves are white and light green.

One of the leaf has a sting of red! I remember my hometown plant has beautiful red little flowers! I'm not sure how long it takes for the plant to produce flowers!

It look so happy under the sun and rain! No complain at all!

We are on the 6th month of the year 2016. Half a year is gone!  That's very fast right!

The vegetables in the garden are not really in the best performance but flowering plants are happy with the hot weather.

Cape Honeysuckle look so cheery under the hot afternoon sun!

The Ixora plant surprisingly have come out with few pretty red blooms! I have not seen the flowers for almost 1 year ! They went dormant!

This white flowers are blooming is full swing!

Pandan Leaves

I have a lot of pandan plants. This is how they look like after some trimming section. It's not easy to trim them as their plants grow so vigorously.

On and off I cut two or three leaves for cooking. The leaves have very strong smell. Very nice aroma in cooking. Adding the leaves while cooking rice create aromatic white rice! Asian desserts use a lot of these leaves to create nice smell and as green food colouring!
